Olavo Chinaglia

Olavo Chinaglia has solid experience in milestone cartel cases, abuse of dominance probes and merger notifications, affecting several fields of industry. His practice also comprises commercial litigation and contracts, corporate integrity and compliance matters.

He was a commissioner at CADE, the Brazilian Competition Authority, from August 2008 until August 2012 and served as the Interim President of the autarchy between January and May 2012. During his mandates, Olavo represented Cade before the International Competition Authority – ICN, as well as the Competition Committee of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).

Doctor in Commercial Law (J.S.D - 2008) at the University of Sao Paulo, Chinaglia graduated at the Law School of the same institution in 1997 and has been practicing Economic Law for over twenty years, with focus on Competition and Antitrust.

Chinaglia has rendered over one hundred lectures in national and international seminars, congresses and conferences, and is the author of scientific articles and papers on Competition and Corporate Law matters.
